Re: My home San Francisco, poop and piss and dangerous needles.
I love the City and am concerned with scores of needles on streets and their users some off their rocker, some with illness. Downtown in and near Tenderloin we see needles all over and homeless sleeping even in Trader Vic’s Alley. I’m concerned with the myth projected by politicians of truly affordable housing. This attracts indigents from other cities who are only too happy to rid themselves of them. Homeless should not be encouraged to come here with generous programs. The 10,000-20,000 here should go to Quonset Hut buildings 100 in each of 100 placed on City property built in factory housing on Mare Island and FEMA has buildings like this and city vacant land must be identified by now. Add leasing land from Richmond, Vallejo, cities that need revenue. The choice will be vagrancy arrest or move. Discourage not encourage more in future coming from unwelcoming places. We must take care of our own which are unable to do. Wait until the bill comes for destroyed hotel rooms.
I don’t like endless road work seemingly repeated every few years and they don’t look good. With our economic success, streets in this rich city should be paved as well as Tel Aviv, Shanghai, Tokyo.
